Dr. Zafir is available for house calls from Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
Dr.Zafir never books too far in advance, and he almost always has same-day appointments available. He does not provide full emergency care (see his comments and referral centers under the Emergency tab), but if time is of the essence, he may be able to get to your home within an hour or two.

If your call goes to voicemail, be sure to leave a message. During business hours, Dr. Zafir, will usually be able to call you back within a very short time. This is the fastest way to get a hold of Dr. Zafir.

When NOT to Schedule a House Call
In today’s busy households, noise, chaos and crowds are often unavoidable. If your housekeeper’s vacuuming, your handyman’s hammering, or you’re hosting all the kids in the neighborhood for a pool party, chances are good that your pet won’t be in a good mood for their exam.
The same thing goes for recent grooming appointments! If your Poodle just had her 5 hour makeover, she’s probably more than a little peeved. If your Persian kitty is fresh from his annual lion-cut, he’ll definitely need some time to relax and collect his thoughts.
The ideal time to schedule a home visit is when your household and your pets have been calm & quiet for several hours, or even a few days. Dr. Zafir will appreciate your consideration, and so will your pets!
Dr. Zafir’s Arrival Time
Dr. Zafir makes every effort to arrive on time for his home visits, but Southern Florida traffic is unpredictable to say the least! Please allow up to 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time for his arrival.
